About Water Wervels
Water Wervels is a series of ceramic sculptures inspired by the shapes and structures of animal vertebrae found in the dunes of The Hague. Strongly influenced by the sea, my work explores themes of connection and interdependence, growth and decay. I aim to shed light on the ocean as a unifying force, the place where life began and where everything remains connected. The Water Wervels reflect this fragile natural balance, especially in a time when ecosystems are increasingly disrupted by human impact.
