About Water Wervels

Connectedness is a central theme in my work. I see the ocean, where all life began and on which we still depend, as a force that unites everything. Like a backbone, where each vertebra relies on the others in order to function, my sculptures reflect the interdependence of ecosystems. In the Anthropocene, where human influence threatens to disrupt natural systems, these beings serve as a reminder of both the fragility and resilience of our environment.

By placing my sculptures in the landscape, I invite the viewer to pause and reflect on the connection between the sculptures, nature, and themselves.
